Eight years ago, the world changed forever with the attacks on our country.
Eight years ago, I was a first year teacher, struggling to figure out how to teach English literature to my seniors.
Eight years ago, a student burst into my room and said "Ms. M, Ms. M, someone bombed the Pentagon!!" and I was naive enough to think she was wrong. I soon found it was so much more than that and wished she'd been right.
Eight years ago, I watched in horror as towers fell, buildings burned, and people lost their lives, all live on TV.
Eight years.
A long time and the blink of an eye at the same time.
